The Collection Honolulu is a 43-story glass high-rise tower with 397 units. Four structures provide top luxury amenities and living spaces: The Tower, The Annex Tower, Lofts and Townhomes. While there are other luxury condos in the area, The Collection is unique because it feels like an enclosed miniature town with everything residents might need, whether it’s dining, retail options or modern residential units. The Collection also includes a 4-story condo residence as well as 3-story luxury townhomes to complete the little neighborhood you have here. The townhouse residents do not have access to the tower amenities (pool, gym, etc).
The Collection Honolulu was developed by Alexander & Baldwin who is also responsible for a similar luxury project Waihonua. But the Collection stands out as it offers the main high-rise tower, a mid-rise section with studios and townhomes which are large with a street entrance and a two-car private garage.
The condo tower has a narrow, slender shape with a mauka to makai orientation. With blue-tinted windows and aluminum-covered floor plates, the tower has a contemporary look. The rest of the projects span around the block with 16 townhomes, 54 mid-rise apartments, and 5 commercial spaces at street level. The parking structure has seven levels and is hidden within the center of the lot. It’s surrounded by other smaller housing units and retail shops in the Collection, further adding to the cozy neighborhood vibe.
The units are exquisitely furnished with Kohler stainless steel sinks, Grohe contemporary faucets, built-in microwave ovens, and quartz countertops. Like the lobby and other common areas, the residential units have a contemporary and modern feel. The Collection is energy efficient, with energy star appliances, LED lighting, split AC systems, and recycled materials
As of April 2020, maintenance fees are about $0.89 per square foot. Like the other luxury condos, The Collection has floor-to-ceiling windows that are coated with low-e glass, allowing heat from the sun to reflect away from the unit, which can help keep AC costs reasonable.
The windows boast of ocean, Honolulu harbor, and Diamond Head views. Many units have large lanais with glass railings. Kitchens have contemporary materials and designs like aluminum baseboards, glass tile backsplash, glass upper cabinets, and natural quartz countertops. The bathrooms have wood cabinetry and porcelain tiles.
The amenities at The Collection are impressive, even for luxury condos. If you feel like throwing a karaoke party, you can rent out a “Flex Room.” There are also exercise programs available for residents, using Fitness-On-Demand. You can go through these programs at The Gym, a multi-process workout space. There are also weights and regular gym equipment here -- At home, there are not only regular outlets but convenient USB charging ports.
Maintenance fees pay also for an outdoor movie theatre, kiddie pool and a separate keiki play area so you and your family can mingle with other Collection ‘ohana. A large pool offers relaxing views of the Honolulu Harbor and there are two jacuzzis, three poolside BBQ cabanas and plenty of comfortable lounge chairs.
Other amenities include a dog park, bike and surfboard storage, 24-hour security and 24 guest stalls.
